Thinkal M-Cup project in Ernakulum
I’m 44 years old. I had heavy bleeding. I thought it’s because I’m nearing menopause. When I started using the cup I had to empty it every 2 hours and also use a pad along with it while going out. I asked other women here and noticed that other women can use it for 4 hours. I consulted a gynecologist and got to know that there were some complications in my uterus and I had to remove my uterus. It is only because of the cup that I could identify such a situation and take necessary action. Before using cup, I thought it was because of menopause; with cup use I understood there is something unusual in this.
HLL CSR Thinkal project done at Trivandrum
Earlier, I used to use cloth pads and then shifted to sanitary pads.Both of them cause discomfort after a few years. I used experience much discomfort while at work during my periods. But later when I started using M cups, I felt it was best for working women. It is convenient and easy to manage. We don’t have to worry about leakage and staining for our dress. Apart from that, disposing of pads while at work or if one is travelling is very difficult. M cups make things so much more convenient.

I’m someone very active in public life. Earlier when I go out for meetings and other activities during periods, I had this tendency of lifting my clothes before I sit, basically to avoid staining of blood on the clothes. Now with the cup I do not haveto bother about the same and this has improved my confidence in public.

I received the cup more than a year back. Initially, I was scared touse it. I was not sure which size to use and was generally afraidabout using it. But a few months back, my daughter-in-law started using it. She was the one who motivated me also to try. The firsttime I was nervous, and I also made mistakes while inserting it. But with practice, I felt more confident. Now I have been using itcontinuously for 3 months. It is so convenient!
